A full body mount in taxidermy is the most detailed and lifelike way to preserve an animal, recreating its entire physical form as it appeared in life. Instead of mounting just the head or shoulders, this method displays the whole animal from nose to tail, often posed in a natural stance or action scene.

You’ll typically see animals posed as if they’re:

• Walking, running, or stalking prey
• Resting or alert in a natural environment
• Mid-action, like a bird in flight or a predator leaping
